2026: Brinda Ghosh
Mrs Ghosh, a teacher by choice, has dedicated her remarkable 47-year career to challenging and innovative educational institutions. She began at Vikaasa in Madurai, South India, and later at prestigious schools like Welham Girls’ School and YPS Patiala. As the visionary Founder Principal of two schools, she built vibrant communities that celebrate learning and reading. After her retirement as Director, Staff Training at the Gyanshree School, she serves as a mentor and coach at The Teachers Academy and reads at My Good School every Sunday.
2025: Swati Roy
Swati Roy, an entrepreneur passionate about children’s literature, co-founded Eureka Books and the Bookaroo Children’s Literature Festival. She actively engages with the Book Cafe community, transitioning from media to children’s literature to nurture a love of reading in young people. Eureka! and Bookaroo have significantly impacted children’s literature in India, making books and reading more accessible and enjoyable through local hubs such as Dehradun coffee shops and the English Book Depot.
