The Learning Forward India (LFI) Professional Learning Program is a collaborative initiative designed to transform school culture through continuous, evidence-based professional growth. Managed by The Teachers Academy in partnership with the Good Schools Alliance, the program operates under the leadership of Sandeep Dutt.
Core Pillars of the Program
• Standards-Based Learning: Aligned with the global Learning Forward standards, ensuring that professional learning is not just a one-off workshop but a sustained, data-driven process.
• The "Good Schools" Philosophy: The program advocates for schools to be happy, inclusive spaces where the focus shifts from mere academic coaching to holistic "learning for life."
• Collaborative Networks: It leverages the Good Schools Alliance to create a "network of networks," allowing educators across India to share best practices and peer mentorship.
• Service-Oriented Leadership: Under Dutt's stewardship, there is a heavy emphasis on building leadership capacity at all levels—from students to principals—to foster a culture of agency and accountability.
"Professional learning is the only strategy we have to strengthen the educator's practice so that every student can experience great teaching." — A core tenet reflected in Sandeep Dutt’s approach.
Dutt, an acclaimed educator and author, focuses on the "School Transformation Framework," which prioritises the personal and professional growth of educators as the primary lever for improving student outcomes.
The Literacy Project for Educators is an initiative by the Good Schools Alliance, powered by SEBI, AMFI, FSSAI and NCFE, aimed to empower teachers with essential life skills that extend beyond textbooks—helping them grow both professionally and personally.
Centred around the idea of “Happy Teachers,” the project emphasises empowering educators with practical knowledge in areas that affect daily life, including:
- Financial Literacy
- Food Literacy
- Emerging Literacies such as AI and more
