She began her inspiring journey at Vikaasa in Madurai, one of South India’s most innovative schools. Mrs Ghosh then left her mark at prestigious institutions such as Welham Girls’ School and YPS Patiala, greatly enriching the educational landscape across the nation. As the visionary Founder Principal of two international schools, she not only built these institutions from the ground up but also fostered vibrant communities that nurture a lifelong love of reading and the joy of learning.
2025: Swati Roy
Swati Roy is an entrepreneur who cares deeply about children’s literature. She co-founded Eureka Books and the Bookaroo Children’s Literature Festival. Her work has shifted from the media to children’s literature, demonstrating her commitment to fostering a love of reading in young people. Eureka! and Bookaroo have greatly influenced children’s literature in India, making books and reading more available and enjoyable for many communities.
