Role of the GSA Coordinator

Hello, and a warm welcome to the GSA Squad! We invite you to join our lively weekly meetings, where we share exciting updates about My Good School, The Teachers Academy, the Retreat, and all things GSA! We’d love for teachers, mentors, fellows, interns, and volunteers to collaborate and spark new ideas to uplift our community. Your insights matter; we can’t wait to join forces with you!


Role Title: GSA Coordinator
 

🌟 Purpose of the Role:

To facilitate students and teachers’ participation in the GSA online program by ensuring smooth communication, promoting engagement, and collecting meaningful reflections, thereby nurturing 21st-century skills through reading.


📌 Key Responsibilities:

  • Communication and Outreach

  1. Share GSA session links with selected students and teachers in a timely manner.
  2. Remind and encourage them to join each online session.
  3. Address queries and technical concerns related to the sessions.

  • Motivation and Engagement

  1. Motivate students regularly to participate actively in discussions.
  2. Highlight the benefits of participation in building the 6C skills.
  3. Create a positive, encouraging reading culture among students.

  • Reflection Collection

  1. Collect reflections from students after each session.
  2. Format can be written, audio, or video (as instructed).
  3. Ensure reflections are submitted by students within the stipulated time.
  4. Follow up with students who miss submissions.

  • Reporting

  1. Compile and organise all student reflections.
  2. Submit the reflections to Manisha after every session.
  3. Report any challenges or notable feedback from students to help improve future sessions.

  • Collaboration with Staff

  1. Coordinate with subject teachers or mentors for support in motivating students.
  2. Seek support from school leadership to promote visibility and value of the program.
