How the Alliance works?

Monthly Meetings

The Good Schools Alliance (GSA) monthly meetings help align the vision and goals of the Alliance in the following ways:

Reinforcing the student-centric approach: We consistently emphasise during the meetings that student agency should drive the Alliance's activities. Teachers are meant to act as facilitators and scaffolds to support student learning and growth. This student-centric philosophy is reiterated and reinforced during the meetings.
Promoting continuous improvement: The meetings highlight that becoming a "Good School" is a never-ending process of constant growth and progress. We often remind participants that the goal is to keep striving towards "crescendo" or ever-increasing levels of excellence, just as My Good School's Sunday readings promote "living life in crescendo."
Fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing: By bringing together representatives from various member schools, the meetings facilitate the exchange of ideas, best practices, and successful initiatives. This cross-pollination of knowledge helps align the schools' efforts towards the shared vision of the Alliance.
Planning and decision-making: The meetings serve as a platform for collective planning and decision-making regarding the Alliance's programs, such as the My Good School, Happy Teachers program, and My Guide Inside. Discussions around program expansion, revenue models, and sustainability help ensure the Alliance's activities align with its overarching goals.
Introducing new schools and initiatives: When new schools join the Alliance or existing members launch new initiatives, the meetings provide an opportunity to share these developments. This helps ensure that all members know the Alliance's evolving landscape and can align their efforts accordingly.
